Description: This is one of the darkest Aeonium cultivars available and although very common still one of the best. Plants will grow to 1m high and developing large rosettes to 20cm or more when actively growing. Over winter rosettes are generally a purple/black colour with a green centre, turning a deep majestic black over the summer months.
Plant Care: This is another very tough cultivar and is well suited to a dry and sunny position in the garden. Lightly prune the heads during the growing season (Autumn to Spring) if you wish to make the plants branch and maintain a more compact shape. Makes an excellent contrasting landscape plants to mix amongst other succulents plantings or garden landscapes.
Origins: Select cultivated form of Aeonium arboreum.
