Description: Created here at Aeonium Australia, ‘Winterfell’ is one of our own hybrid creations which we are excited to now offer!
The foliage is a lovely shaded mix of greens, showing soft tones of olive, pear and lime. The leaves have a lovely velvet feel and in combination with the spiky toothed leaf margins, gives the whole plant a slight fuzzy appearance.
Although typically only green in colour, it’s the form ‘Winterfell’ develops which we find particularly interesting and beautiful.
The plants tend to be compact growing, with offsets branching out from within the foliage of the rosette, forming a circle of small clusters.
We have found this beauty looks fantastic when growing in a small black coloured pot, which highlights the soft green colour tones and shows off its interesting shape and form.
Plant Care: Easy to care and look after. As with most Aeoniums, avoid exposure to the very hot part of the day throughout summer to avoid burning the foliage.

‘Winterfell’ was a bit of an anomaly and an unexpected looking hybrid which was developed here at our nursery. Although we will keep part of the breeding a secret, you will undoubtedly recognise Aeonium simsii in the mix.
