Description: With it super soft downy foliage this particular variety feels amazing to touch! You will see in the photo's that the leaves are covered in hundreds of tiny glandular hairs, which gives the plants the most delicate feel.

This is probably the smallest of the four varieties but undoubtedly the softest. Plants will form small cup-shaped rosettes, which over time will develop a few offsets. The foliage is a sage green colour and throughout the summer months or when stressed, will often show shades of red and orange. Along with Aeonium canariense var. plamense this is probable one of the most colourful of the four varieties.

We simply love the Aeonium canariense varieties and until you can see and feel them in person it is often hard to see how simply beautiful they are!

Plant Care: All the Aeonium canariense varieties makes an interesting potted specimens and are beautiful plants to grow. Plants will handle a good amount of shade BUT grow in good light to achieve the best colours, avoiding the very hot afternoon sun of the plants may burn.

Origins & Distribution: Canary Islands (Gran Canaria)

Comments: Some botanists now recognise and have reclassed the four Aeonium canariense varieties to subspecies status. This is now more correctly known as Aeonium canariense ssp. virgineum. To avoid immediate confusion we will retain the old name for now
