Description: We are not sure why it was given the name King King, but we must admit that we actually quite like it!

We believe 'Black King Kong' to be a variegated form of the Aeonium cultivar 'Copper Kettle', which is a lovely hybrid well known for it delicate copper colours.

Its throughout summer and as the plants transition in & out or dormancy when these lovely copper tones are the most apparent and together with the light variegated shades of green, yellow and cream, compliment each other beautifully.

Its also summer when the colours are the darkest and although named 'Black King Kong', the summer colours tend to be more a matt shade of orange copper and maroon, than a black.

We also love the form it develops with the overall growth remaining stout and chunky, but at the same time developing large rounded rosettes.

Although not as showy as some of the other new variegates, its the combination of the form and lovely soft colour palette, which makes it unique and well deserving of a home in any collection.

Plant Care: Easy to care and look after. Not as tall growing as some of the other new Aeonium cultivars with the plants developing into a nice compact clump of rounded rosettes.

Origins: Believed to be a variegated form of the cultivar Aeonium 'Copper Kettle'

Comments: Also known and sold as Aeonium 'Black Copper' & 'Black Copper Pot'
